How Much Self-Help Is Enough

Learning vs Doing

If you’re lucky enough to discover the world of self-help, you start to notice changes in your life. You start to find this whole new world you never knew existed. It’s very exciting and you feel so motivated to learn and grow.

That was me in 2009. I started with Jim Rohn, Tony Robbins, and then you go down the rabbit hole. A few years later you’re a completely different person.

I’m so grateful to have embarked on this journey. The reason I’m grateful is because I didn’t just read and listen to self-help content….

I took action. Let me repeat that. I took lots of action.

Fast forward to today

The global personal development industry was worth a whopping $41.8 billion dollars in 2021 according to Forbes. That number will only continue to grow.

With YouTube being mainstream now, there is so much “how-to” and self-help content out there. There is a “how-to” video for literally anything.

If we have all of this knowledge at our fingertips….then why are people still overweight, struggling with their finances, struggling with their relationships, and every other problem under the sun.

More knowledge isn’t the answer
