Travel to the US plummeted in 2025, and we have Mr. Trump to thank for that.
I’m a Canadian who adores Las Vegas. I just came back from my recent trip there. Unfortunately, I won’t be coming back anytime soon. Even this year’s trip was supposed to get cancelled, but my friends and I decided to go since no refunds would be provided. Plus, we had an important charity event to attend. So we went, feeling uneasy.
You may think it's silly to boycott a whole country because of one deranged leader who will only be in office for 4 years. I disagree. In my opinion, boycotting American goods and travel is not enough.
I love my American neighbours to the south — at least those who didn't vote for this fascist. And those who don't say nonsense like:
“All lives matter, not just black lives.”
“The woke culture is ruining our economy.”
“Yes, let’s make Canada the 51st state.”
But despite my understanding that at least half of the country did not want Trump re-elected, it doesn't mean every American is absolved of their sins. When your leader launches a trade war with the entire world and also threatens to annex Canada and take over…
