There are times when we get stuck in analysis paralysis. We know we need to make a decision, but we don’t know how or don’t know what to do. Sometimes this can happen when we become too close to a situation, something, or someone; we lose our objectivity and ability to make choices with clarity.

Instead of forcing yourself to come up with a decision, step away from whatever or whoever it is you need to make a decision about. The time away will help you regain your objectivity to make a prudent decision that will provide you the most benefit.

Other ways to assist with gaining clarity:

  • Journal
  • Exercise
  • Meditate
  • Stop thinking about the subject for awhile
  • Talking to someone who can remain objective about the situation
