I never thought I’d take relationship advice from a bald white man. However, after Wayne Dyer (another baldy) found a way into my heart, James Clear had a free pass.
Luckily, both dish out their fair share of timeless wisdom and this is no different:

It sounds so simple, but it’s profound. So, for the remainder of this article, I’ll break down each line while adding some personal anecdotes and more wisdom from the two shiny-headed men above.
Share with someone who wants to listen
I’m sure you’ve been there just as much as I have. You start sharing something vulnerable to someone and they’re looking around the room or distracted by their phone or interrupting you with something more important to say.
It sucks.
On the flip side, there’s nothing more beautiful than when someone gives me their full attention. Their gentle presence makes me feel open and safe and both invite vulnerability.
When someone listens it means that I feel seen and heard. It means that nothing else is more important in that…
