It is funny when we look back and discover that the biggest challenges of our yesteryears are minuscule and of no consequence to us now.

A rule of thumb I go by is, if what is giving you sleepless nights right now is not going to matter in five years, then it is not worth it.

That being said, I don’t expect you to snap your fingers and Thanos away half (if not all) of your problems. Like everything in life, there is a process; in this article, I am going to explain the process of getting over disappointment by learning to focus only on the big picture.

How To Get Over Disappointment (steps):

1. Identify your problems

2. Scale them according to the highest priority

3. Set a goal

4. Create objectives for your goal

5. Focus on solving one problem at a time

6. Guard your mental health

7. Don’t set your hopes on fleeting achievement or vanity metrics

8. Find peace within yourself
