Have you ever started something to find out that people are criticizing it? I am sure you have faced it for another time in your life. Similarly, in writing, you face it, too.

One crucial point to remember is that while criticism may come your way, it should never deter you from writing. Instead, view it as a reflection of your work.

“Successful people use failures to sharpen their intuition by acknowledging mistakes for what they truly are — feedback.”
― Gordana Biernat

People’s feedback is a mirror that can help you see your writing more clearly, empowering you to take control of your writing journey.

You will get positive and negative feedback. But don’t argue with someone over negative feedback. Handling the situation calmly is essential, allowing you to respond thoughtfully and not reactively.

When you get feedback, see what it is all about. Is it regarding your topics or your writing style? You need to focus on all negative and positive comments.

You have to use those to improve. When you write, and you get feedback, embrace that moment. It will help you grow in your writing journey. There is a chance you won’t get any feedback at all.

“You must invite honest and accurate feedback. Surround yourself with people who care and aren’t afraid to speak up to you directly, face to face.”
― Binod Shankar

So, what’s the solution? It’s simple! Ask for feedback from a wide range of people, including your colleagues, friends, peers, and family. Don’t hesitate to ask for it if you don’t receive it.

Diverse feedback leads to comprehensive improvement, fostering an open-minded approach to your writing. Every piece of feedback you receive will tell you about yourself and your writing style.

Work on constructive feedback. But the journey doesn’t end there. Once you’ve worked on the feedback, testing your writing is essential.

“Feedback is empowering your team to ask questions, make suggestions, raise concerns, and/or challenge ideas.”
― Nick Chellsen

Check if the changes you’ve made still make sense to your audience. This step ensures that your writing remains effective and engaging.

If people are still giving negative feedback, work on it again. Improvement is a continuous process. You will rise above all if you work on your weaknesses.

You need to focus on your writing and continue to work on it. Do not ever be disappointed with the negative comments you get on your content. As humans, we love to point out others’ mistakes.

Every person has a different perspective on things. What looks suitable for one person may not work for another. Not all people are alike, so don’t be discouraged.

“Feedback is the tonic of great champions; be humble to take the good, the bad, and the ugly of feedback.”
― Daniel ANIKOR

Think about what would happen if you didn’t get feedback. Do you ever get to know about yourself? You will always know whether your actions are correct because of feedback.

The more you work on your feedback, the more you will get near to success. It’s a journey where you need to grow. It should not stop when one person says something wrong about you.

It’s your dream to become a writer. You have to choose what’s good for you. You decide your destiny. Work on yourself to continuously become a better version of yourself.

Remember, feedback is the stepping stone in your journey to success. Never take any feedback to your heart. Work on it and move ahead. Feedback will make your writing robust.
