An Insight I Got From An Innocent Child
Unveiling The Wisdom From A Despised Child
I was sitting in my superior’s car with his son, about 10 years old, some years ago. While I was cracking jokes with him, my eyes got attracted to a tract in an open safe beside him titled The Way To The Top with an image of a long staircase below the title, just as we always have it on Medium, and a man was ascending on it from the lowest step.
Then I said, as I showed him the tract. “See, the way to the top is very far and difficult. It will require a lot of strength and diligence to get there.”
The boy responded affirmatively that the road to the top is not that difficult. I looked at him inquisitively and asked what he was trying to say. He responded, “Just know your way and stay in it.”
When I got home later that day, I pondered over what the boy said, and today, I can confidently say that that little precious statement from an innocent child has done great exploits in my life’s journey. So, by experience, I can say that what he said is indeed a simple, practical reality.
I have shared this statement with many people during one-on-one counselling and a few public speaking, and most of them have been as blessed as I was.
