How to Make The Perfect First Impression
Put a smile on their face!
“A building is only as strong as its’ base.” My father (an engineer) taught me this early, emphasizing the importance of starting something off right.
Whether in an important interview or on an enticing date, first impressions are always critical. They either improve your presence and invite hospitality, or reduce your value and create hostility.
Mastering the first impression is knowing which behaviors lead to either result. But how do you achieve it? With today’s diversity, it’s almost impossible to create a universally charming approach that suits everyone.
So, how do you do it?
You must become a great conversationalist, know how to appear interesting and make them like you.
As mentioned, diversity is a huge factor. However, that doesn’t mean you can’t still make a good impression. To contradict common beliefs, a great impression doesn’t lie in making yourself appear great — but in making the other person feel great.
And if you play your cards right, you will make people feel warm and important. And in making people feel valuable, they will project that value onto you.
