The future of apartment living

Our world faces a housing crisis. Not only do we face a housing crisis, but we face a crisis in affordability. On top of this, we have to ensure that new homes are better for the environment if we wish to get a handle on climate change and make this world a better place for everyone.

How do we solve this complex issue?

Here’s a few numbers from Google about homelessness:

It is estimated that 150 million people are homeless worldwide. Habitat for Humanity estimated in 2016 that 1.6 billion people around the world live in “inadequate shelter”. Different countries often use different definitions of homelessness. Via Google search.

The Solution?

It’s clear that we need to do something about this issue. The affordability issue is a huge concern in many major areas. Here in Canada a home in Vancouver or Toronto is over 1 million dollars. These prices are not sustainable and something has to change. What’s the solution?
