Studies show that Generation Z spends a lot of time on phone screens. Here is the data.

Gen Z -> 6+ hours daily

Baby Boomers -> 3+ hours daily

Anyone born between 1997 and 2012 falls in Generation Z.

Anyone born between 1946 and 1964 falls into baby boomers.

Anyway, that’s not our topic; these are just statistics to make some logic about how much young people spend their time on their phones.

There’s nothing wrong with your smartphone. In fact, the product is delivering at its best.

Your support design, feel, look, and apps are designed to hook you up. Therefore, you can spend more and more time holding git. That’s how companies make money.

Think about a product you bought but never used.

So what is the solution? How can we replace our mindless and aimless scrolling time with purposeful reading? Imagine devoting an hour a day to building another skill, starting writing, and developing a solid reading habit; all it takes is consistent habit and day based on your rewiring brain capacity.
