If you have ever woken up in the middle of the night with tears flowing down your cheeks non-stop because of a challenging situation in your life, then you are not alone.

I know how it feels because I have been there several times.

Life can be challenging, and it’s always that way. There’s no shame in admitting it.

life spares no one of its brutalities.

You might think that you did nothing wrong, so why is the universe against you? Not exactly the case.

We all go through a difficult phase in life. It is an inevitable reality.

How we express our feelings when life gets tough.

Crying non-stop about it

Pitying yourself

Blaming others

Coming out with excuses

Quitting

Crying and wailing are just a minute part of showing that life pissed you off.

It has everything to do with the actions you take after wiping your tears.

To help us digest the issues, let’s answer these two questions to get us started.

1. What are the frustrations in your toughest moments?

To be honest, our inability to make the desired breakthroughs in our lives irritates most of us.

Let’s get real here. I don’t even know you and the dreams you have for yourself. But one thing is certain.

You wished you had more money, respect, financial freedom, and good social standing. No matter how modest your ambitions are, you crave some sort of status. It is human nature.

That same ambition directed me to Medium.

So we have something tangible between us.

We all crave for a better life. A life filled with unending possibilities.

Maybe you are stuck in a job you despise.

Maybe you find yourself stranded in a toxic and hopeless relationship.

Perhaps you want more money and freedom.

Or you just want to have enough to buy a fancy sports car.

Whatever your aspirations are, life will throw curveballs at you. Things are going to be difficult at one point.

It is up to you to decide. Whether to quit or to push on.

2. What are you doing about it?

It is not enough to be angry about your predicaments. Your anger must end with meaningful actions geared toward your transformation.

It pissed me off at the start of the year about how I lived in 2022. That realization fueled my journey here on Medium. I just felt I needed to do something for myself.

I have over 270 followers now. I improved my writing skills and gained insights into life, writing, and business.

That was a starting point for me. Maybe yours could be that business venture you’ve been postponing year after year.

I know you are not ready yet but you can still start today. You will figure everything out later.

Make efforts to resolve the issues that hinder your progress. Don’t just express your disgust for them.

What can we do now?

1. It is about taking full responsibility

Embrace the fact that most of your frustrations are self-inflicted. Why would you stick around a job or relationship that deprives you of your peace of mind?

You hold the power to walk away from a job that doesn’t bring you joy. Take charge of the steering and steer yourself to safety.

2. Readjust your attitude

Putting yourself together will save you from a lot of headaches and pain. Cultivating a positive mindset in your most frustrating moments is a powerful weapon for growth.

Putting on a calm face and personality is the trick. Take one step at a time. Harness the power of your frustrations to drive your personal development.
