“I am the Alpha and the Omega”
This is my COVID Bulletin №3: “Alpha > * > * > Delta >>> Omega?”
Today, my COVID Bulletin No3 takes a deeper look at the viral variants of COVID-19.
The world became quite familiar with the term “DELTA Variant when it was the one that was currently rampant as I wrote this story (early August 2021). Those who know the Greek alphabet (Alpha to Omega) won’t be a surprise to discover that the first strain to appear (labelled ALPHA) was followed by variants BETA & GAMMA, then DELTA … Are we destined to reach OMEGA?
The modern Greek alphabet has 24 letters. In upper & lower case they are:
Α α, Β β, Γ γ, Δ δ, Ε ε, Ζ ζ, Η η, Θ θ, Ι ι, Κ κ, Λ λ, Μ μ, Ν ν, Ξ ξ, Ο ο, Π π, Ρ ρ, Σ σ or ς, Τ τ, Υ υ, Φ φ, Χ χ, Ψ ψ, and Ω ω
