Part 2 of 3: The UK Government
In part 1 of this series I listed some of the reasons I despise Sir Keir Starmer. The article is just a 5 minute read but could easily have been 15 minutes as there are so many good reasons why he is so unlikeable and untrustworthy. I should note that everything I’ve written is well documented and in the public domain.
British values
Former Prime Minister and Labour leader Gordon Brown, concerned that Britain had no distinct brand, decided to launch a British Values initiative. This was particularly difficult with 21st Century Britain being so diverse and some of the traditional values being so rooted in Western hegemony. One aspect of this branding was to instill a sense of Britishness in the nation’s children through education. To this day its been conditional for schools and even school clubs to include British values in the curriculum in order to achieve the recognition of being outstanding or even good.
The truth is there are no values that are distinctly British and as soon as such a notion is formalised it becomes obvious that it’s a total fabrication. At best it lists values that are admirable but by labelling them British it only reinforces Britain’s unhealthy attachment to empire and…
