Part 1 of 3: Sir Keir Starmer
For those not familiar with 20th Century UK history the above is a parody of Neville Chamberlain returning from Berlin with a peace agreement signed by Adolf Hitler. While for many this represents the ultimate in the folly of appeasement I’m playing on the meme rather criticising Chamberlain who some would say bought time in which to build up the UK war machine. I have no opinion on this. Neither is Starmer an appeaser per se but I believe this works as a symbol of naivety and betrayal.
When the US sneezes Britain catches a cold
The “special relationship” between Britain and the USA is legendary if somewhat lopsided yet the way the UK mimics the USA is uncanny. Kamala Harris, Norman Finkelstein quips, is a zero and in some ways a minus 1. No one knows what she stands for and it’s perfectly obvious that neither does she. One thing we do know, however, is that she stands with Israel in all its barbarity because she’s told us so on a number of occasions. While Keir Starmer was a human rights lawyer in a previous life, like Harris he was also a prosecutor and not a good one by all accounts. Do you hear the echo?
