Planking is one of the most effective exercises for building core strength.
It doesn’t require any equipment, takes little time, and can be modified for different fitness levels. All you need is your body weight.
I chose this challenge to test how this two-minute daily habit could transform my physical and mental health.
Planks appeared to be surprisingly easy, but I soon discovered that it takes a lot of strength to hold one for even 30 seconds.
For 30 days, doing a two-minute plank every day seemed like a commitment that would challenge me without taking up too much time to boost my core strength.
Day 1: Reality
The first day opened my eyes.
I started strong, set my timer, and only just made it past 40 seconds before my arms started to shake.
