NewsBreak is such a luring platform!

How to win on any writing platform.

I joined NewsBreak Contributor Network about a month ago. The first article I wrote got 58K impressions in less than 24hrs.

Guess what?

I’ve gotten incredible impressions! Damn! I was shocked and motivated — and then what?

Inspired. I was typically, automatically and completely inspired.

As a new writer there and young here (on Medium), I found it as 'luck’.

What? 'luck’. No that’s not luck. You can get more than that if you would do everything necessary for you to get there. To be honest, it wasn’t luck. There are some certain things I’ve applied before going to NewsBreak.

And guess what?

As soon as I got there, things got really amazing due to what I’ve applied. Though, most new writers find it difficult to grow on a writing platform they aren’t aware of, I finally broke that fence and passed through — BOOOM!

Here are some simple, free advice I can tell you if you want to join any platform of content creation, be it writing, uploading pictures, videos— whatever !

Now, here you get it, my friend!

1. Research

Those who achieved greatness can say more about this.

If you want to achieve anything, not just growth on a platform, do as much as possible to find out more information before diving in.

There are many free tools to assist you do that:

  • Google
  • YouTube
  • Medium
  • Books
  • Courses

Spend time finding information. Because the more that you find new things, new ideas, the more you’ll know.

And the more you know, the more you’ll apply. The more you apply what you’ve learned—

Shhhh, guess what?

The more better results you’re going to see. And you know the results ($$$$$).

2. Study Top Creators

At everything, there’s always some people at the top.

Now, what you should do is pick at least 3–5 creators of the platform that are really doing good (I didn’t say pretty good or pretty cool, I said really good).

Study the way they organize their content and apply what you’ve learned.

Do not plagiarize the content, study the style then add your own unique style.

3. Plan

Now, you’ve got some information on your hands. What next?

Start making plans on how you’ll approach and achieve your goals. Write down a list of all your weekly contents to be published.

Before you sleep, pick two goals or three or even one and plan how you’ll overcome and achieve the next day after you wake up.

Without plans you ain’t got anywhere. Start making plans.

4. Improve

Analyze what did well among the stuff you’ve published.

Now, my friend, you’ve got the ingredients, the recipes, the chicken and every other delicious thing for growing on that platform.

The next thing is to understand your top best contents and improve them.

Because the sooner you realize what’s doing well on your contents you’ll immediately get some insights of where you’re going.

Improving the well-being of your content is like making update to your device. You update this, you update that.

The sooner you update, the better it’s going to function.

5. Stats Page

Never ignore that!

Your stats page is your roadmap that shows you directions of a particular way you’ve recently followed to reach a certain place.

And it shows you the wrong path you followed that leads to downfall of your content.

When one of your articles blow up than the other ones, there would be something in it which the poor articles don’t have.

Lemme show you something:

I usually write about tech news and healthy food on NewsBreak, as you’ve seen.

When I checked my stats and saw the above article was bad I’m getting views and impressions, I got back and analyzed my other articles to see what I can change to boost the performance of this one that’s too bad.

I picked one of my best performing article and copy the styles I’ve used in it. I changed the title and location....

Guess what?!

Things got a bit crazy. So much crazy. Here’s how it’s going:

487,000 impressions!!!

LESSON:

Use your stats and examine why do that article did well and why the other one didn’t. It doesn’t always pay back. But at least you’ll get some ideas, new insight.

My journey on NewsBreak was pretty well.... so far :)

Thanks to those who kept pushing me to make it happen: Yana Bostongirl | Hudson Rennie (YT videos) | B.R. Shenoy | plus more 🙏🙏🙏
