I Grew My Pinterest account to 400K
Use this Strategy
Brief Story
Last year November, I had just finished a course on social media management & marketing. I was so hyped up. I was eager to try out the new strategies that I had learned. So, naturally, my first port of call was Tiktok, but I wasn’t sure if I should try since there’s so much competition on the platform.
But then I thought, why not give Pinterest a try? After all, it was relatively new, and only a few people were using it. So I set up my business account and began creating content every day.
Boom! My content went viral, and my Pinterest account got more followers.
After a month, I had already gained over 100K monthly active viewers and was getting engagement worldwide. Then the rest was history! I generated 1K followers(organic) within two months.
You may be wondering what the secret to my success is. What did I do that allowed me to grow so large on Pinterest? Well, here it is-I used a very effective strategy called content curation. Content curation involves gathering and sharing the best content from around the web in your account.
This allows you to build relationships with other accounts in your niche and boost your visibility.
My first step was finding a niche I wanted to target.
A niche is the area of focus or topic you want to target.In my case, I chose money because why not? It’s a topic that everyone is interested in.
The next step was optimizing my profile. I included a beautiful Pinterest cover image representing my niche, a catchy bio with keywords, a profile pic, and a call to action link.
After that, I started searching for content related to my niche. Followed their followers, commented on their content, and engage with them.
This created a ripple effect of engagement that helped my profile grow even faster.
Idea Pins was the best way to get more eyes on my account.
An idea pin is simply video content with a creative angle.Pinterest supports more video content than normal pins, and idea pins are proven to be incredibly effective.
The next step was posting high-quality content from other accounts and resharing it. I used an app that allowed me to download Pinterest Idea pins, reshare them and tag their creators. The name of the app is FastSave.
Not only did this help me to connect with other influencers in my niche, but it also allowed me to showcase the best content available.
Then I searched for relevant keywords using this tools like Keysearch and Pinterest Trends. This allowed me to find hot topics and create content around them.
I was double uploading my idea pins daily, and I got tired because it was getting stressful, so I started to look for solutions.
That’s when I came across Tailwind, an automation tool that allowed me to schedule my pins.
Then I realized that I also had to write Pinterest descriptions for each of my pins which we help me to get more engagement. I used Jasper, which has a Pinterest marketing tool that wrote the descriptions for me.
Jasper is an AI writing assistant that can help you with content creation, such as social media posts, tweets, blog posts, and short stories. It has ethical and creative capabilities to produce engaging content quickly and efficiently.
Within two months, I grew my account to over 400K monthly views, and I’m still growing.
