I Just Became a Great Uncle

But there’s nothing to celebrate

As I watch the forests burn down around me in British Columbia, Canada, I received the news that I’m now a great uncle for the second time. It should be a happy time, but it’s not. It’s hard to celebrate that occasion when everything around me is so bleak.
