People who say money isn’t that important clearly haven’t had their lives shattered and their hearts broken as a result of it.
This story goes back a few summers but still lives fresh in my memory to this day.
The day started like any other. I was with the love of my life and we were cuddled up on the sofa together.
My girl surprised me when she said, “let’s play a game”. Immediately she had my attention. I nodded in agreement. But little did I know, this one fateful decision changed our relationship and my life forever…
Let the games begin
My girl sat me down on the floor and threw me a cheeky smile. My heart was racing. Adrenaline was in overdrive.
But to my initial disappointment, she whipped out a board game and started reading the rules in full detail. My mind wandered, even as I tried my best to pay attention.
