I Trained My Brain To ENJOY Doing Hard Things
Your brain has only one agenda — it wants you to WIN.
‘Winning’ can mean different things to different brains.
For one stoic individual, being alive and free is ‘winning’. For others, winning can mean scoring a hot partner, raking in a million dollars, being accepted into a prestigious association or institution, getting married, etc.
We all want to WIN in life.
We all want to WIN in life.
You are going to feel motivated to keep at something as long as you feel like you’re winning.
You would continue to slap articles on Medium regardless of the outcome if you feel like you’re winning.
Your brain wants you to win. So, if you can convince it that you are winning, it will feed you with the motivation to do stuff that other people struggle to do.
If you have been publishing articles on Medium with little or nothing to show for your effort.
No matter how much you love writing, you will eventually lose the motivation to continue if the effort feels futile.
This is normal human behavior.
All living things, not just humans, are motivated by incentives and rewards.
