Mr. Trump’s blatant disregard for the coronavirus and his befuddled, self-serving — even heinous — downplaying of the pandemic misled the nation, ultimately making him responsible for killing hundreds of thousands of people, many his supporters. [1,2]
Some died believing the toupé-toting demagogue had their best interests at heart. Others — like Kristin Urquiza’s father, Mark Anthony Urquiza [3], who as he neared death, wondered how he could have allowed himself to be so duped — came to realize before dying how severely they’d misplaced their faith.
