Let’s face it: technical articles are too niche and provides too little reward as a writer.

Trust me, I’ve tried. I’ve published more than a dozen technical articles on this platform but each of them was met with an average readership at best. I even wrote an article in 2022 about my love-hate relationship with writing technical articles and another back in 2021 saying that I’d continue writing technical articles even though the payout sucks.

But today, I’m done. I’m giving up on writing technical articles for good.

Technical articles lack a ‘hook’

Tim Denning is right (in his article). One of the most important aspects of successful writing comes from attention-grabbing headlines. How the heck does one come up with an attention-grabbing headline from a technical article describing the Kubernetes architecture?
