I’m truly passionate about photography and love photographing nature.

Over many years, I have traveled extensively as a professional, shooting for calendars and photo libraries across the globe. I’ve especially enjoyed my numerous trips to the US for its abundance of beautiful landscapes.

During my time outdoors in nature, I’ve witnessed some pretty spectacular thunderstorms. I have also been very close to lightning strikes on several occasions, especially in the States.

This is my story about one particular hair-raising near-miss that I will never forget.

But this is also the story of a man who was not so lucky…

To this day, Roy Sullivan still holds the world record for having experienced the greatest number of lightning strikes… and survived.

The closest I’ve ever come to being struck down by lightning.
