“Where the hell are you?” Eve screamed into the phone to Adam, her husband. “Sharon isn’t here yet, and it’s after 7:30 AM!”

“I am out of gas, and the lines at the gas station are impossible!” Adam hollered in the phone because of the background noise. “She is never late. Did you try calling her phone?”

“No one is answering,” his wife notified him. “Can you move away from the noise? I can hardly hear. . . .” Then, suddenly, her phone went dead.

“Damn!” she screamed as the front door opened, and her three children, who were supposed to be on their way to school, entered, along with her best friend Della, twin daughters.

“You missed the bus?” she asks.

“It didn’t arrive,” they said in unison, walking towards the sofa and staring at her.

“What?” she hollered, glancing at her phone and realizing she had no internet service.

“Did you call your mom yet?” she asked Ashley, one of the twins.

“She isn’t answering her phone, and neither is Dad,” she replied, giving her eye contact.

“And neither are our grandparents,” Adonna, the other twin, informs.
