India’s Historic Landing On The Dark Side Of The Moon, Is Not Just A Successful Space Mission.

Where there is a will, there’s a way, even if that means the dark side of the Moon.

Taken from ISRO’S official handle.

History has been made today.

This is the first time that a Rover has landed on the Dark Side of the Moon, under the leadership of The ISRO (Indian Space Research Organization ) chief, S. Somnath, whose name literally means, Lord of the Moon, according to Hinduism.

An amazing coincidence, or fate?

Multiple attempts by countries beforehand were met with a crash landing. In fact, just three days ago Russia faced this end.

Therefore, as an Indian, the historic landing on the moon is a moment of immense pride for me.

However, this is not a story of success in the first attempt by ISRO, something we all crave for.

When India attempted this feat a few years ago, in 2019, Chandrayaan-2 failed after contact was lost with the lander minutes before touchdown. The ISRO chief, S. Somnath was inconsolable and was comforted by the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, who at the time, said, “Our determination to touch the moon has become even stronger.”
