Inner Citadel

Liminal Space

There is an inner citadel.
I’ve seen it in my dreams.
That mysterious city,
With winding streets,
And repeating blocks.
Where everything flocks,
To my deepest fears.
Sometimes bright.
Sometimes dark.
Did I just hear
A stray dog bark?
The places I’ve been,
Are all seen.
In this mystical place,
of liminal space.
This must be evidence,
Of an internal world.
Totally inside,
For no one else to reside.
This is where I begin.
This is where I end.
There is an inner citadel.
