Over the past several years, blogging has been a popular method for people to share their stories, experiences, and expertise through written content.

Informative and educational articles, based on personal experiences, were commonly written by people to share their knowledge with others.

It was a great source of information that people could turn to for educating themselves on specific topics.

That is until ChatGPT was released.

With its vast knowledge of everything available on the internet, it rose questions about the future of human-written content and the impact of artificial intelligence on the world of blogging.

People thought blogging was about to become obsolete now that people can turn to ChatGPT for their problems.

But is it really?

Is ChatGPT The End Of Blogging? 💀

Well, it depends on what you mean by “Blogging”.

Blogging has now been divided into two types:

1- There’s one in which people write content about some product or service, think of it as a promotional blog.

It explains just how good that product/service is (usually without sharing any user experience with it).

It does happen sometimes that the writer hasn’t even tried that product for themselves, but is writing on it so that he could earn some sort of a commission through its sale.

If this is what you mean by blogging, then let me tell you, ChatGPT is able to do this better than anyone. It has been trained to generate call-to-actions to compel you to make a purchase for a product.

This kind of Blogging is definitely in danger after the release of ChatGPT — unless the blogger starts using it to his advantage.

2- There’s however a 2nd type of blogging which is purely based on experience and authenticity.

In this type, there are certain feelings of sympathy and authority that make the blog stand out.

It allows the readers to stay connected with the blog.

Human-written blogs have a unique voice. They have the ability to catch (and keep) the reader’s attention throughout the post.

This ability cannot be replicated by any AI chatbot.

AI can only provide information, in the form of long paragraphs and chunks of text that is only useful to read to gain information.

Similar to a school textbook, AI-generated text focuses on providing factual information and explanations without conveying emotions or personal experiences.

Both are designed to inform the reader in a straightforward manner, but may not engage them on an emotional level.

Real Blogging is a mixture of storytelling, journalism, and personal expression that allows people to share their unique perspectives, insights, and experiences with a wider audience.

It allows you to express yourself while also being able to educate, inform and entertain your readers.

No tool, not even ChatGPT, has the ability to accomplish this.

This is why I think that this kind of blogging has NO DANGER from AI chatbots like ChatGPT.

There will always be people who’d rather read something personally written by a human because it may include some sort of a situation they are going through.

Let’s understand this by an example, suppose a person is going through some illness or a very difficult personal situation in his life.

He’d definitely want to read the experience of another person who has gone through something similar.

These little personal touches and personal experiences can make significant differences in providing useful pieces of advice or even, a sense of connection.

Humans have the ability to explain and solve situations more effectively through experience and hardships and AI lacks in this field.

This is why blogging is NOT dead. In fact, it’s more important than ever to have authentic and relatable content in a world where AI-generated text is becoming the new norm.

So don’t give up on blogging just yet!
