I have heard the opinion that the world has never been worse, more than I would like.

Do we actually believe this?

Ten Global Trends Every Smart Person Should Know by Marian L. Tupy and Ronald Bailey. They have done the research; actually, they have collected the studies that others have conducted and have included them in this book.

Essentially, people are living longer, fewer are starving, more have clean water, there are fewer wars, etc. than ever before.

Let’s be honest, it is way easier to be negative and say that the world is worse than ever, and that is why I am unhappy, poor, can’t buy a house, etc., because if the world is to blame, then I don’t have to change. but if I am to blame for my problems, then I have to change.

Saying the world is better than ever does not mean that particular aspects of life are better than ever. Yes, the roads have gotten worse in your area, and yes, inflation has made homes more expensive, including groceries. Yet, on average, it’s not even close to how bad it could get.

“Whether you think you can, or you think you can’t, you’re right.” Henry Ford

Perspective will give you the outcome you seek. If you start looking at the world negatively, then you will start to see all of the horrible things about the world, but if you want to see the good, then start acting like the world is a good place that is getting better, and you will start to see that too. and the more people who see the world as improving, the more it will.
