Is Writing on Medium a Good Investment for Me? Or am I Wasting My Time?

I never believed I could write and put my words in front of an audience.

I never believed that my words, when spoken in writing, would make any sense to anybody.

Although I’m a new and struggling writer, but I’ve realized that struggling is a sign that I’m making progress.

I joined Medium in September 2024. So, my present here isn’t much established.

But for the little time I’ve been here, my life has received a fresh beginning.

I have learned a lot from Medium.

So, my time here is a good investment, and I believe it will always be.

I had always wanted to write, but certain things had always put limiting thoughts in my head. I used to think I couldn’t succeed as a writer because of things like my:

• Age
• Background or
• Work

But I’ve met people here whose stories have taught me that limitations can be broken if only we’re willing to confront our fears.

Derek Hughes says he started writing online at the age of 51. And today, he’s one of the most successful writers on this platform.
