Childhood Trauma Leaves a Legacy
We all experience childhood trauma. It may be something as simple as being dumped or ghosted by your best friend, it may be a horrific combination of physical, mental, emotional, and sexual abuse, or it may be something in between.
Regardless of the severity, it leaves a legacy. The greater the trauma, the more impactful the legacy.
A few people manage to shrug it off as readily as a snake sheds its skin. They are the exception. When you ignore the legacy and try to pretend it doesn’t exist, it may not have a conscious impact, but it definitely has an unconscious impact.
