Islam is not defined by a piece of land
Any religion, ideology, or idea that people relate to should not be defined by materialistic means, or else it does not arrive at the right conclusion and will cause more harm to its followers than gain.
Seyyed Hossein Nasr, put it in good words

So what Islam is not,
Islam is not defined by the idea of salvation through Jesus where he will take away his followers to heaven in a rapture, by just believing in him (Evangelicals)
Islam is not defined by a piece of land that God has chosen for its people they are default inheritors of it, and they are entitled to remove anyone living there, by necessary means possible (Zionist Jews)
Islam is not a theocracy, through which a set of Scholars are given the right to rule people and apply their ideas of religiosity (Iran)
Islam is not the belief that any race is superior and should dominate society, typically to the exclusion or detriment of other racial and ethnic groups. (white supremacy)
Islam is not a monarchy, where one family will keep ruling masses, and when you name a country on your family name (Saudi Arabia)
Islam is not a belief that someone has to die for people's sins, that they inherited from time immemorial, (Christianity in general)
Islam is not to give one party sole responsibility for people, so they can do what they want and become a one-party dictatorship (China)
Islam is also against, Capitalism taking over the government in the guise of flawed democracy and two-party dictatorship ( USA)
So what Islam is,
Islam is an ideology, and at the heart of it is monotheism ( one creator, which is all power full all knowing; hidden yet evident; the producer and sustainer of everything) and one who believes in it has submitted its will (ego) under the greatest ego or self possible.
Even the Theology of Islam ( and all Abrahamic religions) is pretty simple and we the human weakness (of lust, power, salvation, .. ) have made it complex and it can be defined as
God is one, is all powerful and knowing, merciful, and sustainer ( https://www.islamicity.org/covers/99-names-of-allah/), it does intervene and hold the world together, does not show up else it will defeat free will
Have sent down great Prophets Jesus, Moses, Noah, Muhammad, and many more some with books and others with guidance, all preached monotheism.
We have weaknesses and life is a test to go against those weaknesses, by holding on to the One and asking for help.
Satan (and its party) are our enemies, it wants to divide humans and make them busy and keep them busy fighting each other.
Life is a test; all acts are recorded, and we are judged based on it.
Truth and Beauty are human endeavors, if one follows them and tries to implement them will find God.
We are humans, not animals and we have a consciousness that guides us, but we need to keep the above endeavor and will help keep a sound heart and God will guide us.
Humans are vicegerent (of the One) to this world, and they have been given the ability and luxury to explore this world and universe and make it useful for themselves.
Any group of humans (family, tribe, society) can only survive if it is based on justice; otherwise, corruption will enter it and eventually, it will be destroyed.
There are sets of dos and don’ts, don’t is pretty much common in all Abrahamic religions (alcohol, interest, fornication, eating kosher), other than it demands certain obligations (do’s) which vary between them; but the general ruling and guidance, appeal to human morality by promoting to speak the truth, being honest, clean, fulfill obligations, don’t break blood relationship, love your neighbor,…
Try to stop bad from happening, try to do it with your hand, if not then with your tongue, and if not at least consider it bad in your heart.
There is more to it, but the above covers mostly the basics, and it's quite simple.
Results of Wrong Ideologies
Now what happens when people start believing or are driven by non-monotheistic beliefs, their fears, and lower desires become their God and they end up committing to wrong ideals, and then a few individuals will come along and end up using groups like these to drive their purposes.
Today's world embodies all these materialistic ideals in their classic form, and they are ripping the world apart ( remember Satan wants that), every group wants a slice of this world in light of those dogmatic ideals, and has become selfish and hypnotized, and has become like cattle who only see the grass in front.
It's a reason why we have so many self-help gurus showing up, and selling their medicines to cure the masses.
Even material progress has its limit, it was given to humans to make use of it in best form, but we have exploited it to rule over each other.
First, we were broken off from tribes to individuals ( so it was easier to control and manipulate), and now individuals are finding it nihilistic to live with the morbidity of daily routines and entertainment
, and this results in weird ideas showing up like
where People want to become cyborgs and have machines and chips implanted in them as if it will revolutionize their world.
or Accelerationism, where ideas of left-wing and right-wing ideologies call for the drastic intensification of capitalist growth, technological change, and infrastructure sabotage to destabilize existing systems as if breaking the system since it's not going to fix itself; so once it's broken we will build it better.
Where is Islam
Back to where we started, Islam is not defined by a piece of land, because Islam urges its followers to transcend worldly desire; remain in it, and use it but not dwell on it, everything is from the creator, and it provides to whom it wills.
All the great prophets left their land because those who were in power were treating them unjustly, Moses asked his followers to leave the land of Pharoh, and Abraham left his native land because his tribe and even his father did not agree with his monotheistic message.
If one looks up Islam, one can find in the Just rule of Umar where he allowed the Jews to get back to the Holy Land after the Romans had persecuted them, for 500 years and deprived them of worshipping at their holy places.
Islam was also the same under the rule of King David and Solomon, when they ruled from the Holy Land or when Jesus of Nazareth preached to his disciples.
Islam can be seen in the mercy of leaders like Saladin when Jerusalem was recaptured in the Battle of Hattin. Or When Prophet Muhammad conquered and returned to Mecca
Problem in Palestine
So what is the problem in Palestine, it's not about a piece of land that is given by God to certain people that will not justify that since it's based on materialistic grounds. It is a fight against oppression and colonization idea that has served the US empire well.
In short, it is a marriage of Capitalism with a wrong selfish ideology of human salvation or we say wrong theology hijacked by Capitalism, let me explain how
Zionism, which is an ultra-nationalist ideology ( might not have started that way in the time of Hertzel, and a more inclusive state with a Jewish majority) was taken over by the Elitiest Capitalist who were trying to maintain their legitimacy based on creating a Jewish state that would provide Jews safety and peace in the region; but essentially overtime has become an outpost of US in the middle east and its how it serve them.
1) Christian Zionists, who are mostly of Evangelicals Belief which consider greater Israel ( not peaceful) necessary for the second coming of Jesus( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9_NQt0gB-V4&t=5s) , they are in millions and serve congress in term of vote and funding
2) Geo politics to counter Iran, and Russia in the region ( Iran is another Evangelical biblical belief) and serve well to maintain US presence in the region
3) Make sure the US keeps an eye on Oil rich Arab countries and trade routes ( Please read when the Otommons (in World War 2) were defeated most of the current Arab leaders were the ones who fought against the Ottomans and in reward were awarded these pieces of land, hence we can see they are mostly in line with their western masters).
4) Weapon industry, An Unstable region means everyone will buy weapons which means profit for the military Industry Complex.
If one thinks introspectively about where is peace in all of these above factors; even please search up all Aliya that happened to Israel after war/coups/civil unrest that the US perpetuated ( Iraq, Ethiopia, Iran, Ukraine, …).
Not stating they were done to bring Jews to this land ( but yes if someone has an investigative journalist background can look into it)
Some clarification and arguments
I genuinely believe every life is equal and worth saving, but it's only Jews who can understand, that at the heart of Zionism is a capitalistic mindset and not the safety and security of Jews ( I will share some links down below from Jewish historians and writers please read and grapple why are they speaking against it)
I am not against a Jewish state if that is what most Jews want, but I am against Zionism in its current shape and form, any ideology or entity that unites people peacefully and gets to a settlement with the consensus of most of the people in the area, is something we could all agree on?
All Evangelicals are not Zionist and even among them most of them are not aware of how their decisions and support for Israel are making the situation worse in the Middle East; they are also played into the hands of these capitalistic goals
Islam asked its followers, to make an effort to stop any form of oppression ( through hand and voice) but unfortunately, Muslims don't speak or raise concern when injustice is done across different groups ( even very few spoke out when Saudia was at war with Yemen) and similarly today on conflict in Sudan.
Where do we go from here?
We live in a world divided by these ideas and ideologies, and everyone can envision the doom and gloom it's about to cast if not already, from climate catastrophe to more wars to more depression, drugs, and suicides.
We should be the most informed people in the world, yet we are fed with misinformation and fail to arrive at the truth do not trust each other, and keep arguing and do not arrive at solutions on how to improve.
We need to realize that all leaders or people in power are complicit in this, either they are part of it by some pressure group or want to comply because of Capitalistic goals or lust to remain in power.
We cannot continue in our current trajectory of being divided, we need a uniting force and ideas that can bring people together on certain objective truths, we have a lot in common and we cannot let our lower desire and urge for more materialistic idols; keep us in boxes of us and them. We all need healing from the abuse that we have allowed ourselves to be part of.
Let's talk to other humans have compassion for them, and acknowledge the fact that everyone is equal, irrespective of where one is born, the color of their skin, and the language they speak.
Let's fight these powers that divide us, reject them, and instead of arguing try to educate, learn, and pressure our government to bring about change and policies that are more humane, Let's control our spending and not be blown away by the magic of consumerism and false propaganda.
We cannot be neutral anymore, it is a fight for our survival and for the next generation to follow, if we are divided, confused, and depressed; we will not leave this world in a better shape. We need to ask ourselves to become a better version of ourselves, more conscious, more aware, no more sleeping!!
Every human life has the same dignity, not because some human rights organization says that but because we are all equal in the eyes of our creator.
People who have no hold over their process of thinking are likely to be ruined by liberty of thought. If thought is immature, liberty of thought becomes a method of converting men into animals.
