It All Started on Day One
The Day Everything Changed (Part 1).
It was eerily quiet on the morning of day 1 but they learned later that was just the calm before the storm.
And then the storm broke.
Once it broke, their colleagues working in a DEI position were fired and sent home.
On day 1 they were told they had to to take down the signs displayed in the public waiting area about nondiscrimination based on race, color, religion, sexual orientation, and ethnicity.
An email directive later that day directed all federal employees to report any DEI activity immediately that was witnessed amongst colleagues and turn them in.
If it was not reported they would face severe consequences including termination.
An email box was created to submit these reportings.
On Day 2 they were told the new requirement eliminated gender neutral language. They had to check if the bathrooms had any signs with anything other than Male or Female.
The Gender Neutral bathroom sign had to be covered over as this wasn’t allowed any longer per the new executive order.
On Day 3 they were instructed to take down the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Rights poster on the employee bulletin board.
