It’s All about the Money
The men who have it want more of it, and they are running the show
Did you scoop up any Black Friday deals? Are you ready for Cyber Monday, or did that already start weeks ago? No matter who runs the government, America loves to buy things at what they think is a good price, even if that means paying $20 now for something that was $28 two weeks ago, while not noticing that it was $22 two weeks before that. Still, it’s a bargain, and I hope you got what you like or what you want to give to someone who will appreciate it.
If Americans have enough money to buy what they want and still pay the rent, they will be happy with their government, even though the people we are fighting with may be about to get slaughtered. Most people won’t mind that their happiness requires there to be enough people working very hard, making not enough money to ensure those bargains arrive within a day.
Thanksgiving went very well for us this year. We were with family — lots of family. There were a few people who were not part of the family, which helped calm the dynamics a bit, but our family is all on the same page about almost everything. This is true not only politically but also regarding where to shop, how much to spend, where to go on vacation, what books to read, and which desserts to bring to Thanksgiving.
