I’ve Always Wanted to Be a Cop — The Only Problem is I’m Black

You’ll always be another cog in the system no matter what color you are.

Having a golden badge on my chest was my first love. I remember sitting in my grandma’s basement watching the ancient “Cops” show. Drunks, hippies, robbers…all of them got arrested without question.
