Keep Looking Out for Us Grandma!
Hi Medium!!! Haven’t been on this website in a while. So much stuff has happened this year already and we’re not even halfway through. Some were food things but overall, this has been one of the hardest years of my life, so I took a break from writing.
Not to bore you all with the details or put my life out on the internet, but this is the first year my family has been apart for more than a month or two like we are now. Haven’t seen either of my siblings in a while or my parents, and I don’t exactly have the funds to do so until next month. My great-grandmother also sadly passed away a couple of days ago.
Life’s been hard, but my great-grandmother hated it when I bitched. She was a strong, wise, and beautiful woman who single-handedly raised 2 generations of a family. I can hear her now.
“Just sit down, pray to the lord, and keep going” (she was also incredibly religious).
So, why am I writing this? Simple, this is to keep me accountable. I doubt I’m going to get many reads on this and that’s perfectly fine, great in fact, I’m going to read back on this a year from now, and everything I write here will come true, or in the process of coming true.
