Keeper of Fire

Give up on chain mail and join the never-ending poem

Separated by a wide stretch of space
Divided by limitless time
Connections that are forged
Under the warmth of the sun
Stand all tests of time
The link may fade for a moment
It may look to be near its end
But it will never go out
As long as we are here to tend
To the flames that dance
On hearth of vulnerable emotions
The sacrifices we give
Will become the beacon of light
for those that may follow
Our footsteps and
Be the next keeper of this fire
