Kelly-Ann Maddox + The Mystic Autistic
Empower Your Magical Self (S2 Ep9)
Welcome to the ninth episode of the second season of my podcast, Empower Your Magical Self. My hope is that it will inspire you to spend time contemplating your own inherent magic, and how it can make your life more joyful.
My guest today is the brilliant and fierce British witch Kelly-Ann Maddox, author of Rebel Witch and the new Witch in Darkness (to which I’ll return momentarily).
I read Rebel Witch: Carve the Craft that’s Yours Alone last year and immediately wanted to have its author on my podcast, so this interview is a wish fulfilled for me. It was an important book for me because of its irreverent (and that’s not to say disrespectful, not at all) approach to witchcraft as… “a practice shaped by their individual personality and life journey, rather than allowing themselves to be spoon-fed. It challenges witches to design a nurturing practice that is truly theirs.” (from https://www.kelly-annmaddox.com/my-books).
In this episode (recorded back in June), we discuss activism and witchcraft in hard times — which for American witches is a subject that’s very front of mind at the moment.
