King Charles The Third Coin Is Already On Bid On eBay.
The 50p pieces will be the only coins in circulation featuring His Majesty’s portrait and ‘2022’ — the year of his accession to the throne.
The Royal mint is preparing to release about 96 million 50-pence silver coins by the middle of December 2022. This is the new coin that will recognise Charles III's ascension to the throne. No new coin will be released before the year ends.
The new coin will be released when the current one with the late Queen will start to run low.
In anticipation towards that, some are already offering bids for the coin on eBay. How about that? This is because some collectors/investors are already anticipating the new coin to rise significantly in value. Some experts said it might rise a little bit more than the face value, but nothing of any significant resale value.
This unfortunately has not deterred some sellers from listing it on eBay, and the bid is already £10 for a 50-pence coin. We never know what the highest bid will get to before the deal is closed. Many of the bidders are likely to be royal fans collectors outside the UK.
