Last week, I decided to sell my beloved 2017 Ford Escape.
It was the first new car I ever purchased. And, truthfully, I was a little sad to see it go. But, I worked up the courage to post it to Facebook Marketplace.
And, I was amazed at how much interest it garnered.
Sadly, not all interest is good interest.
Here are 3 new Facebook Marketplace scams I learned about. And, how you can avoid them while buying and selling goods…
This isn’t (technically) a scam.
Although, it sure feels like one.
My Ford Escape was the first new car I ever bought. So, naturally, it held sentimental value for me.
Having just outlived its warranty, I hadn’t put any money into it. And, I felt as though it was at a financial tipping point.
Either sell it now — or, begin ponying up for yearly maintenance.
As I work from home, I don’t technically need a car. Especially not a fancy one that costs an arm and a leg to repair.
