There is much talk these days about humankind venturing off-planet — not just to visit alien worlds but to live there. This used to be a fantasy limited to science fiction writers and their fans. Not anymore. Now NASA and other space agencies are seriously considering the possibility of setting up colonies on the Moon, Mars and elsewhere.
