LIFE, A BOARD OF CHESS

Wanna break the bleak beginning
Wanna bunk the sunk feeling

Wanna convert this crook cacophony
Into a clean and relieved symphony

The time is hard and coarse
Full of grief, pain, and remorse

Why destiny proved so brutal, fickle, and fragile?
Where souls are dead but the bodies still alive

Where the courageous and victorious departed
And the cowards and ditches celebrated

It’s dark, hard and dumb
Bizzare but beautiful; blooming but bung

Life demands utmost patience
Swallow the bitter truth, even though it’s a nuisance

The human heart is a horrible hearth
An amalgamation of caresses and curse

This is life, a board of chess
Here, control certain emotions in excess
Or try every emotion to survive
Putting forth each step, being poker in disguise

If this is the worst of worsts that arrived
Then the best is sure not to be far behind…
