Life is a Garden or a Slaughterhouse

Live life like a tourist, experience the variety of the world without always seeking a deeper meaning [image from pexels]

I think we’re just sent here to experience life. What other purpose does a tourist have than to see everything, try every food, and feel all the emotions, the ups and downs?

We shouldn’t try to find purpose in everything because not everything has one. What purpose is there in watching a movie or spending time with friends and loved ones? It’s all about experiencing life — that’s what it’s all about.

The mind is our tool, creating the world we see. Some people are fortunate to have a well-functioning one, while others are unlucky, stuck with one that causes unnecessary suffering.

We should use this tool wisely. Take care of it like you would any other organ. Meditate, spend time with your mind, and listen to what it’s saying. But often, we don’t take the time to listen.

Without knowing how to use your mind in your favour, you’ll never enjoy the world. And that’s the whole purpose of our existence — to experience life. Everything else is meaningless.

Or, if I flip the argument, maybe we’re sent here as punishment. See how the mind plays tricks on us?

Perhaps life is a garden, or maybe it’s a slaughterhouse. Either way, we’re doomed. If death is certain, why not accept it wholeheartedly and enjoy the moments that come before?

You can worry about the coming winter if you want, but I’m okay celebrating summer. Both are true. It’s up to us how we perceive things.
