Life is meaningless
So they say.
Then let me live my meaningless way.
I’ll drink, I’ll smoke, I’ll fight and play.
And laugh every single day.
And if I never win a prize,
then let me live my loser's life.
For every loss, heartbreak and failure,
will make me stronger in my strive.
‘
So, destiny, come take your shot.
I’ll face you head on; with all I’ve got.
And when you’re done, I’ll stand my ground.
And with a smile I’ll look around.
‘
I don’t need rest. Not in this life.
Nor in the next, for I will strive.
For I have lived a life so bold.
That even in death, I won't grow old.
Thus, I’ll look destiny straight into its eyes.
I’ll say “that’s all you got? I’ll still rise.”
For I have lived a life so free.
That nothing can ever conquer me.
Dear Camus, I have imagined Sisyphus being happy. Thank you.
