LinkedIn Just Banned Me Permanently Without a Reason (& It Makes Me Concerned About the Fragile Creator Economy)
“Sorry, but you’re just a mini-metric on our server.”
I woke up this Sunday morning to check out my LinkedIn.
Surprisingly, I wasn’t able to log in.
The app asked me to complete a verification.
Within a minute of scanning my ID and completing the verification process, this is what I received in my email.
“Your appeal has been denied and your account has been restricted permanently.”
‘What appeal?’ — I’m left wondering without any warnings or response from customer support.
I think I just got to experience what Tim Denning has been talking about for years.
My online CV, a platform for sharing my writing and my audience have all been taken away, and I don’t even know why.
What Might Have Gone Wrong?
I started a LinkedIn newsletter 2 days ago and gained about 300 subscribers in the last 2 days.
