Having two contradictory feelings, thought, or attitudes towards something in life may be a confusing matter for a lot of people.

On daily basis, people often find themselves toggling between two distinct moods for every situation.

It’s either not talking or oversharing, Being mysterious or giving too much information,“I don’t care, I am fine” or “I can’t take it anymore”, Being happy alone or constantly questioning the lack of friendships.

It’s either "bye, he/she is a red flag" or "God, please unite us", Wanting to be alone or "Please, don’t leave me!", Feeling numb or "It hurts so bad", Believing you can do it or doubting your abilities.

It’s either "It is what it is" or crying my eyes out, Wanting to pursue desires passionately or questioning yourself, “I am so tired” or “I haven’t even done much to be tired”, Following your passions or doubting your authenticity.

It’s either “I deserve better” or “Do I really?”

Being in the middle of that—by that, I mean being able to control yourself—is the hardest because it is the stability. Stability between positive and negative thoughts or feelings creates a balanced state of mind where emotions are appropriately managed.

I am not even talking about 50-50, clearly. Rather, balancing the positive and negative states of mind with their own proper portions, each.

We all should be aware that even positivity can become 'toxic' when it exceeds appropriate limits. Finding balance is about maintaining a healthy equilibrium rather than favoring one extreme over the other.

Finding balance is a lifetime journey, tough, but it’s worth striving for. Keep going, and remember, it’s always gonna be okay to talk to someone, and seek help when needed.
