April 9, 2017: Firefighters of Trivandrum city in Kerala (southernmost state of India) had just received an alert:

Smokes and fumes were coming out of a home in Nanthancode, not far from the official residence of the Chief Minister of Kerala.

A unit was soon dispatched, and as they forced their way through the front door to several rooms of the house, they found as many as four bodies inside. Three bodies were partially burnt, while one was wrapped in a cloth, infested by flies and microbes.

The 60-year-old Raja Thankam, his wife- Jean Padma(58) , their daughter Caroline(26), and her 70-year-old aunt Lalitha were all dead.

The only person missing from the house was the son of Raja and Padma- Mr. Cadell Jeansen Raja.

As the firefighters loaded the dead bodies to the rear of the ambulance truck, they knew that this wasn’t just a fire accident. Those family members were long dead before the fire broke out.

And the 30-year-old Cadell Jeansen Raja was now the suspect number one.
