Agile estimation refers to a way of quantifying the effort needed to complete a task using agile techniques (1)

It is very crucial to do Agile Estimation at different Levels. This is mandatory for proper planning, management, and estimating the total efforts that we will use for implementing, testing, and delivering the desired product to the Customers in terms of time within the specified deadlines. Without agile estimation, there’s no proper planning and management, which may end in delivering the undesired product, thereby leaving the customer unsatisfied. (2)

Estimation is crucial and is a skill that is often neglected in Agile development projects. (3)
Agile estimation techniques use a top-down process. This encourages teams to propose a gross-level estimation for how long the project should take or how much effort it will take. Here are five of the most used agile estimation techniques:
- Planning Poker;
- T-Shirt Sizes;
- Dot Voting;
- The Bucket System;
- Affinity Mapping. (4)
