Grateful for this world we have
Natural beauty that can be seen
Blooming flowers, throes of spring,
Birds encircling trees high overhead
Fellow beings with their camaraderie.

Gratitude warms the heart and spirit
Priceless treasure costing nothing,
Appreciation for many small things
Often taken for granted without thought
Like air we breathe and water we drink.

Picturesque sunrises in early morning
Sunsets as day fades into evening hours
Seeing smiles lighting faces of babies
Wrinkles and worn lines of aged wisdom
Grateful for being able to witness it all.

As world continues evolving over time
Changes come and go, but life is constant
Embracing gratitude with a generous heart
Can raise one’s spirit to new heights.
