Committing to a shared breakfast at a soft seven o’clock has been one highlight of our new normal

<Reminding myself to slow down, chew fully, and not think about the five classes and three meetings ahead, ‘oops my plate is empty — God, she is beautiful’>

“What is it?” she says while slightly averting her gaze.

“Now you feel it don’t you!”

She has a habit of looking at me for what may seem socially uncomfortable amounts of time whether we’re on the train, at dinner, at watching a movie.

“But I guess now I know your feeling too.”

“What do you mean?” She says playfully and with a smile.

“Oh, now you’re fishing again…”

“Oh, you know I like getting attention.”

<Short pause, eyes widden>

“From you.”

<Bursting laughter and a cross table kiss, savouring every bit of the moment>

“Thank you for sharing breakfast love”

“Meeting Eyes” is of the MuNami Daily Beat:

We’re committed to finding intimacy and joy in both the exceptional and mundane — sharing this practice through the bumps of daily life brings us together and deeper in a well of spiritual truth.

We hope this open-hearted moment brings a knowing smile to your day.

With Love and Presence,

Josh and Jenny
