More Gen Z Are Joining the “Boysober” Train but Here’s the Catch
Boys out, self-development and inner peace in.
The current dating pool has been questionable lately and I don’t blame 28-year-old Caitlyn for going sober on her dating life.
Caitlyn was a former colleague. We have done a couple of jobs together during our modelling days.
Our friendship was platonic. She was always clumsy and forgot her lines very often which wore out anyone she worked with.
But if there was one thing Caitlyn does right, it is partying. The girl could party nonstop all week and she was a good host too.
Recently I met Caitlyn over coffee and she told me she’s been boysober for a year and a half now.
“Boysober you say? What does it mean?” I asked in confusion.
At first, I thought she meant celibacy but I quickly learned that boy sobriety was a slightly different concept.
Caitlyn says she didn’t go cold turkey on sex, rather she refined what dating and sex meant to her.
That was a bit confusing to me. I didn’t want to push further on the subject so we carried on with our conversation about the past.
